Hoping I'm delighting Liz's creative mind with my Friday Stories I write from the inspiration I have found in Beatrix Potter's little books. I always primarily just looked at the pictures, but I finally sat down and read her absolutely adorable stories. They have been the springboard for my Friday Stories featuring kitty cats and other animals. I love how I use my life and the situations in it and combine it with the tales of talking animals. ~ Bon
Miss Potter is the beautiful and touching film version of Beatrix's life.

Tuna Champagne
While mama drunk chardonnay last night, Tabitha and Tink, on mama's bedside table, sipped their revered drink of water out of the beautiful, red, cut glass bowl daddy got for them. I joked around that we needed to get them Tuna Champagne and plugged that thought in as a story idea.
Reminded me of the clip above from the musical Gigi. One of Liz and my favorite songs ~ "The Night They Invented Champagne". Has giddied our spirits on several occasions!!! And look at this cozy home with the red walls...awwww, my heart leaps..

College Kiddos & Kitty Babies
Liz started college today!!! So did my son, Christopher!!! So proud of these kids for there sweetness and diligence. So thrilled to be part of their lives as they become adults. And so happy for the grown-up friendships we can have together.
Also, I just have to brag on my kitty babies today too. They were such good sports on this first day of having our bathroom renovated. They were so curious, so wanted to be right in the middle of it all. But sweetly stayed in the bedroom with mama for most of the time, curled up at my feet. I am so proud of them. These kitties do not like closed doors. They love access to everything all the time. It was a great relief to mama that they cooperated so well.. ~ Bon

Introducing Disney: The Aristocats - and My Kitty Babies
Have I told you my favorite gifts are DVDs and anything Kitty Cat related? My husband has this way of bringing the two together and this week has been filled with Disney's The Aristocats. I have fallen asleep to it the past two nights. And I must say that I love Madame's love of her babies. It helps me as a mama whose only babies, as far as I know, will be kitty babies. Books and films about kitty cats and other animals have been eye opening in my understanding the needs and feelings of animals and how much they depend on humans to show love and compassion to them.
My own 3 kitty cats are full of love, protection and complete loyalty to their daddy and me and it touches my heart deeply. I was jolted awake one night with a pang of tenderness towards my 3. It was a gift from Jesus who coaxed me with the opportunity to give my Toby, Tabitha, and Tink the happiest lives of kitty cats anywhere.

My Weekend with Liz
Liz & Me in as Old Ladies!!! |
Liz visited me this past weekend, and I tried to make her stay as relaxing and fun as possible. I think I succeeded. We watched Disney's Thomasina and Hot Lead and Cold Feet. Also, I showed her a cat woman episode from the animated Batman made in the early 90s. I fixed her many pots of tea in my kitty cat tea pot. We rotated between Earl Grey and a Chocolate-Strawberry mix. We ate healthy stuff like Special K cereal and bars, eggs and whole grain toast, cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit and salad. Oh, and we swam. I thought it was a delightful time and can't wait until she comes back. We also brainstormed and came up with a lot of ways we want to entertain and teach kids..more to come on that..suffice to say that I spent today setting up our cozy recording area for our outreach. ~ Bon
